It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John S. Tipton (Del City, Oklahoma), who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Tipton and Mary Tipton; his wife Jean Tipton; and his son-in-law Gerald McClendon. He is survived by: his sister Betty Stroh; and his daughters, Mary Gregory (Houye), Pam McClendon and Barbara Sterk (Ron). He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
