She was predeceased by: her parents, David Willoughby and Edna Willoughby; her former husband Charles Thompson; her husband Marvin Smith; her son Kenneth Thompson; her granddaughters, Stephany and Kimberly Sims; and her siblings, Don Willoughby, Evelyn Walker, Mildred Tigert and Sylvia Ondrey.

She is survived by: her son David Thompson (Dalene Thompson); her stepchildren, Gene Smith (Dianne), Donna Dubose and Trudy Lawrence; her grandchildren, Debbie Thompson, Mikki (Serio Carrion), Faith Thompson, Grace Thompson, Carissa (Peter Forsee), Melissa (Austin Trent), Larissa (Jarrod Robison), Ronnie Sims, Michael Languis and Jacob Lawrence; her sister Mary Beth Munson; and her sister-in-law Oleta Willoughby. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She had many health challenges that could have taken her life, breast cancer, tuberculosis and 2 bouts of Covid but God was her constant companion.
