He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Dawson and Ruth Dawson; his sisters, Maryanna Dawson and Mary Griffin; and his grandson Jimmy Pennington.
He is survived by: his children, Debi Dawson of Collinsville, Dewayne Dawson (Danielle) of Oklahoma City and Keely Dawson of Bristow; his sister Ruth Thomas of McCloud; his grandchildren, Brittany Holt of Owasso, Luke Pennington of Tulsa and Devon Dawson of Oklahoma City; and his great grandchildren, Emmett McKeel and Ethan Doumite of Oregon.
