He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Everett and Grace McFarland (Pauley); his wife Sue Inman; his siblings, Lou Alice Railey, Floyd McFarland Jr., Estella Taylor, Charles McFarland, Dollie Owens, Arlene Jones, Linda Wallin, Kathryn Foster and Tommy McFarland; and his son-in-law John Casteel.
He is survived by: his children, Lanette Fadely (Bret), Carla Casteel, Todd McFarland (Susie) and J. W. McFarland (Gayla); his sisters, Dorothy Moore and Carolin "Susie" Winn; and his grandchildren, Isaac Hall (Rachael), William Hall (Brittany), Adrian Moore (Caleb), Michael Hall, Daniel Casteel, John Casteel Jr. (Carissa), Chelsey Thomas (Cody), Mallory Tallman (Philip), Quinn McFarland, Grace McFarland, Matthew McFarland, Erin Burks, Brittany Estill (Adam), Angela Tichenor, Andrea Martinez and Austin Browning. He is also survived by seven great‑grandchildren; and one great‑great‑granddaughter.
