We announce the death of Sydney Rae Askrens of Dewey, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 59. Sydney will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Leota Faye Finkenbinder (Doane); her husband Randall Allan Askrens; and her brother Brian Howell. She is survived by: her significant other Brandon Thompson; her father Harold Finkenbinder; her children, Jasmine Askrens (D'marcus Johnson) and Allan Askrens (Alyssa Bell); her stepchildren, Skyler Thompson, Michael Thompson and Michelle Pacola; her siblings, Lawrence Finkenbinder, Phillip Fitzsimmons, Marsha Wheat, Renae Barnett, Daniel Fitzsimmons, Tim Fitzsimmons and Steve Howell; and her grandchildren, Jaslyn, Jordan, Juliana, Jayden, Adelynn and Audrey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
