It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Burma Pierce (Duncan, Oklahoma), born in Byers, Texas, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Simmons and Angeline Simmons (Davis); her husband Homer Pierce; her children, Tommy Carrol and Debbie Redding; and her siblings, Betty, Edith, Fuston Simmons and Olis Simmons.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Carroll, Ronnie Pierce and Mike Pierce; her grandchildren, Holly Wells, Ryan Thomas, Dustyn Carroll, Rudy Redding, Lori Gambill, Michael Pierce and Amber Pierce; her great grandchildren, Alisha Thompson, Jordan McGuire, Morgan Broom, Brandon Thomas, Kylee Corkin, Mitchell Wells, Kimora Gonzales, Paxtyn Carroll and Paden Carroll; and her great great grandchildren, Tommie Corkin, Everly Corkin, Roman Corkin, Sage Thompson, Forrest Thompson, Clare Gambill and Brooklyn Emma Gambill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Hope Baptist West.
