Charles Leon Johnston Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Leon Johnston of Duncan, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 2, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnston and Katie Johnston (Nixon); his siblings, Jay, Lorne, Tom, Geneva Hudson (Grant), Betty Blalock (Jim) and Mary Snyder (Harold); his son-in-law Larry Shoemaker; and his grandsons, Trey Shoemaker and Dereck Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Garneta Miller (Neta); his daughters, Morrisa Copley (Ed) of Marlow, Denise Newman (Mike) of Seymour and Charlene Shoemaker-Johnston of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister Ann Long (Paul) of Yukon; his sister-in-law Bobbie Hedrick of Altus; and his grandchildren, Robert Stonebreaker, Sarah Evans of Las Vegas and Jed Copley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
