He was predeceased by: his mother Jewell Burns; and his brother Bobby Gene Burns. He is survived by: his spouse Winna Mae Smith; his children, Ron Burns of Duncan, OK and Tammie Burns Lowe of Enid; his grandson Jay Brandon Burns (Alex); his great grandchildren, Hallie and Saige Burns; his granddaughter Jinna McCown (Garrett); his great grandchildren, Jaylynn and Kamden McCown; his grandson Kyle Hausher; and his sibling's children, Bobby Jay Burns (Debbie) and Susan Thornton (Russell).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitt Funeral Home (4748 US-81, Duncan, OK 73533). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens (4302 N US-81, Duncan, OK 73533).
