He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hays (Whiz) and Joy Hays; and his nieces, Stephanie Standridge and Jordanne Standridge. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hays (Votaw); his sister-in-law Jackie Votaw; his son Chris Brown (Adeena); his grandchildren, Mike Brown (Tyra) and Sharon Wilson (Jay); his great grandchild Jason Evans (Ciara); and his siblings, Terry Hays, Russel Hays, Chrystal Giuenmentaro and Mellany Roach. He is also survived by 22 grandkids, 9 great-grandkids, many nieces and nephews, and his church family.
