With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Edward Shannon of Duncan, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie York and Otherene Shannon (Wyatt); his wife Margaret Cobb; his son Darrell Shannon; his siblings, David, Johnny, Leon Shannon and Ruby Flynt; and his sons-in-law, Junior Thompson and John Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Dianna Thompson of Duncan, Vickie Stewart of Marlow and Junior Shannon of Duncan; his grandchildren, Willie, Amanda Thompson, Cody, Amber Thompson, Todd Thompson, Traci Jameson, Chrissy, Steve Alcorn, Chad, Christie Kimbro, Buddy Shannon, Charlie Hill, Cris Cox, Amanda Shepard and Brice Shepard; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Arawyn, Nash, Quinn Thompson, Hannah, Reed Thompson, KiArra Williams, Julius McCoy, Jamari McCoy, Bryson, Liberty Shannon, Eathen Cox, Kensley Kimbro, Kaden Kimbro, Holland Kimbro, Trace Kimbro and Kealey Alcorn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
