He was predeceased by : his parents, William Edgar and Emily Delia Pewitt (Goldsmith); his brothers, Charles Pewitt and Bill Pewitt; and his great grandchild Walker Truth Bingham.

He is survived by : his wife Linda; his sons, Kevin Wade (Yvette Pewitt), Kyle William (Jaime Pewitt) and Keith Douglas (Sonya Pewitt); his grandchildren, Lindsey (Joshua Coffman), Taylor Pewitt (Brian Bingham), Jackson Ritchie, Mitchell (Lauren Pewitt), Ailee (Taylor Thompson), Jack Pewitt, Johnmark Pewitt, Kylie Pewitt and Shelby Pewitt; his great grandchildren, Chase Coffman, Kennedy Coffman, Charlie Coffman, Remy Bingham, Ryder Pewitt, Fleetwood Thompson and Snow Thompson; and his sisters, Kathy (Dan Grimes), Jeanie Nixon and Shirley Seeley.
