He is survived by: his wife Goldie Phipps; his son Richard (Helen) of Detroit, TX; his stepchildren, Allen, Michael Phipps and Debbra Layman of Duncan, OK; and his nieces, Kathy Featherston of Albuquerque, NM and Beverly Myers of Bothell, WA.
