It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Daniel Cathey of Duncan, Oklahoma, born in Ryan, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Daniel and Lessie Cathey (Driskell); his former wife Eula Travis Cathey; his children, Vickie Berryhill and James Harold Cathey; his siblings, Doug Cathey, Charles Cathey and Jerri Anderson; and his son-in-law Donald Sanford.
He is survived by: his wife Goldie Charlene Dalton; his children, Johnny Daniel, Tletta Cathey of Duncan, Donna Carol Cathey, Jerry Gordon of Weatherford and Sheila Dianna Sanford of Duncan; and his sister Jenny (Bob Durham). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
