He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lafayette and Myrtle Lucy Taylor (Garrett); his son Lonnie Wayne Taylor; his grandchildren, Justin Richardson and Melodee Gibson; and his siblings, Agnes Smallmon, Imogene Taylor, Ethel Coursey, Lottie Johnson, J. T. Taylor and Leonard Taylor.
He is survived by: his family, Violet, David, Red, Bruce and Brian; his wife Louise Fay Metheny; his children, Violet (Herb Richardson) of Hindsville, David (Kathy Taylor) of Duncan, Red (Cindy Taylor) of Siloam Springs, Bruce Taylor and Brian Taylor of Duncan; his grandchildren, Heath (Ashtin Taylor), Haley (Hunter Culp), Kacie (Brent Myers), Jennifer Sutton and David Gibson; and his great grandchildren, Graham, Taylor Culp, Cash, Brynlee Morgan, Liam, Ella Sutton and Ashlee Gibson.
