He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Frederick Austin and Mearle Lovene Tivis; and his former wife Vickie Austin. He is survived by: his wife Rita Austin; his children, Michelle Harrell, Gary (Missy Strong) and Barri (Amanda McCauley); his grandchildren, Cody McCauley, Thomas David Strong, Morgan McCauley, Emma Strong and Bre McCauley; his brothers, Fred (Rowena Austin), Tom Austin of Michigan and Jess (Marilyn Austin); and also Dorothy Stricklin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made in his honor to either Brookdale Senior Living in Oklahoma City or the Alzheimer's Association.
