He is survived by: his parents, James David Slate and Trena Slate of Duncan, Oklahoma; his brother Jamie Slate (Amanda) of Duncan, Oklahoma; and his nieces, Ashlyn Slate (Chris Franz) of Moore, Alexa Eefting (Aidan) of Mesquite, Kallie Slate of Moore, Rheagan Slate of Duncan and Charli.
