He is survived by: his son Josh; his daughter-in-law Betsy Carter of Morrison, Oklahoma; his granddaughter Bella Carter; his brothers, Clyde "Shorty" (Debbie Carter), Clarence "Bug" Carter, D. L. (Molly Carter) and W. O. "Cooter" Carter; and his close friends, Kathryn Carter, Steve Hervey, Mark Hunt and Tim Golden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
