He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Moody and Myrtle Moody; and his wife Effie Aline Benton. He is survived by: his daughters, Janey Outlan (Booth) of Hartsburg and JoEtta Matos (Brian) of Bloomington, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Tyler Matos (Nathalie Forney), Karsen Matos and Ryley Matos; and his great grandchildren, Tyler and Cooper Matos.
