With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leo Edwin Stiewert of Duncan, Oklahoma, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leo left this world on July 11, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John George Stiewert and Pauline Ida Eschberger Stiewert; his wife Fran; and his siblings, Raymond and Leora.
He is survived by: his family, Linda Havely (Pete) of Joplin, MO, Dianna Carlton (Bob) of San Antonio, TX and Michelle Rue (Johnny) of Duncan, OK.; his grandchildren, David Havely (Marcia Bunn), Steven (Ashley Havely), Tierney Hodges, Logan Seals, Alyssa Rue (Danny Van) and Parker Seals (Alyssa Lumpee); his great grandchildren, Harper, Hudson Havely and Thatcher Hodges; and his sister-in-law Mary Counts of Midland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitt Funeral Home (4748 US-81, Duncan, OK 73533). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Methodist Church (1705 W Beech Ave, Duncan, OK 73533). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens (4302 N US-81, Duncan, OK 73533).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
