He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernest and Pruda Thorne (Dunn); his daughter Carolyn Murphy; his sons-in-law, Mack Murphy and Steve Anderson; and his siblings, Dorothy Milwood, William, Donald, Milton and Max Thorne.
He is survived by: his wife Sammie Thorne; his children, Sherri Flanagan (Mike), Leslie Anderson of Lawton, OK and David Thorne of Walters, OK; his grandchildren, Jennifer Roye of Wylie, TX, Gina McKay (Darrin), Erin Collier of Midwest City, OK, Paula Crossland (Michael), Brian Murphy of San Francisco, CA and Evan Flanagan (Nicole); and his sibling's children, Sharon Dickinson (Larry) and Paul Milwood (Deborah). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
