We bid farewell to Robert Davenport of Duncan, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 11, 2025 at the age of 92. Robert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Joy Williams Davenport; and his sisters, Maxine Hasty and Marinell Tucker. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Barbara "Bobbi" (Jerry Williams) and Deborah "Debbie" (Jim Whitt); his grandchildren, Amy, Chris Talley, Kelli McCubbin, Jeremy Stowe, Jason, Cari Crow, Katy Whitt and Kara Whitt; his great grandchildren, Dylan Crow, Jordan Talley, Raelyn Crow, Layla Talley, Logan Talley, Deakon Crow, Colbie McCubbin, Eli Stowe and Lydia Stowe; and his brother Lynn (Diane Davenport). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitt Funeral Home (4748 US-81, Duncan, OK 73533). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church West (380 S 42nd St, Duncan, OK 73533). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery (1910 W Cypress Ave, Duncan, OK 73533).
