She was predeceased by: her father Oscar Swindell; her brother Calvin Springer; and her grandparents, Maggie, Clemon Breath, Joe and Rosie Swindall.
She is survived by: her mother Bessie Faye Swindell (Breath) of Tatum; her husband Iry Benson Jr.; her sons, Jason Benson (Candace) of Comanche and Ewanee Benson of Duncan, Oklahoma; her granddaughters, Kataleya Benson of Norman and Alaina Skiles of Comanche, Oklahoma; and her sister Twyla Lee of Harrah, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home (910 W Oak Ave, Duncan, OK 73533). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Tatum Cemetery.
