It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Van Welch II of Duncan, Oklahoma, born in Artesia, New Mexico, who passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Welch and Lida Rose "Lilo" Welch (Talmadge). He is survived by: his sister Marian Jo Pendergrass; his wife Carol; his children, Robin (Kent Sullivan) and Van Stratton Welch III; his grandchildren, Patrick Sullivan, Caroline Sullivan, Vanessa Welch and Alexis Welch; and his brother Gary Welch (Bonnie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
