He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Barrett and Pauline Barrett (Brandenberg); his wife Wanda R. Morrow; and his siblings, Charles Barrett, Norma and Phyllis.

He is survived by: his half-brother Victor Jr.; his children, John Barrett, Glen Barrett of Empire, James Barrett of Empire, Jason Barrett of Empire, Victor E. Barrett Jr. of Martinsberg and Cindy Driscol of Tulsa; and his sister Edna Panagiotakis of Boston Massachusetts. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
