It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wiley Sylvester Ballard (Duncan, Oklahoma), born in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sylvester and Catherine Ballard (Marshall); his sisters, Mary Alice and Linda Bishop; his brothers-in-law, Marvin Bishop and Archie Null; his son-in-law Charles Wuest; his granddaughter Chrisy Hare; and his nephews, Ricky Null, Tim Null and Robert Null.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby D. Umsted; his children, Pamela (Craig Peck), Dana (Tim Harris), Teresa Sewell, Shelly Wuest and Gerald (Theresa Umsted); his grandchildren, Harold "Bubba" Fish III, Allie Jackson, Michael Sewell, Anson Wuest and Jared Umsted; and his siblings, Clarence (Faye Ballard), Dan, Farilyn Ballard, Caroline "Sally" (Claude Parnell) and Nora Bell Null. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
