She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, Lane Allen and Jane Van Allen; and her brother Gabriel Pena, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Carnes of Durant, Oklahoma; her children, Cecily Quazi of Chicago, Kimberly Davis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and James Collier, III of Tyler, Texas; her grandchildren, Nadia McGuire, Natalia McGuire, Kira McGuire of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Morrigan Quazi and Azreal Quazi of Chicago; her uncles, Homer and Dagoberto Pena of Rogers, Arkansas; and her aunt Berta Barrett of Mississippi.
