Betty Lou Colclazier Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2024, at the age of 91, Betty Lou Colclazier (Durant, Oklahoma) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, P. O. "Buck" Moore and Bessie Moore; her husband Joe Colclazier of Farmer's Union Insurance; her brothers, BJ Moore and Ray Carr; her sons, Roger Burns and Ronnie Michael; her son-in-law Mike Thompson; and her grandsons, Stacy Burns and Matthew Koons.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Thompson of Durant, Oklahoma and Robert Burns (Sherry) of Sherman, Texas; her daughter-in-law Debbe Koons of Durant, Oklahoma; and her grandchildren, David Drake (Tara) of Lubbock, Texas, Holly Burkhalter (Greg) of Calera, Oklahoma, Crystal Mackey of Durant, Oklahoma, Amy Wiskus (James) of Durant, Oklahoma, Leah Burns of Durant, Oklahoma, Robby Thompson (Tammie) of Pottsboro, Texas and Jeff Burns of McKinney, Texas.. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She volunteered for, sponsored, worked alongside and/or served on the boards of countless community organizations over the years including RSVP, United Way, Democratic Women's Association, Eastern Star, Lions Club, Kiwanis, 4H, Bryan County Business and Professional Women's Association and the list goes on and on.
