He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Berghauser and Juanita Frances Berghauser (Conwill); his grandparents, Holland and Martha Conwill; his sister Nancy Berghauser; his daughters, Cynthia Michelle Berghauser and Janel Rene Berghauser; and his daughter-in-law Davena Berghauser.

He is survived by : his wife Karen Chenoweth Waldrop; and his son David Berghauser of Durant.

Perhaps most notable was Dan's generosity, particularly his tradition of donating bicycles to children's fairs.
