It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Sue Wolverton of Durant, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Susan Wolverton; her parents, Bill Barnes and Dorothy Barnes; and her sister Kathy Baty. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Smith (Troy) of Scurry, Charlie Wolverton of Mabank and Bobby Wolverton of Scurry; her grandchildren, Derrick, Colby and Carlie; and her siblings, Billy Barnes (Tracey) of Tishomingo, OK, Kenneth Barnes of Scurry, TX, Gary Barnes of Ada, OK, Gayle Wooldridge (Jimmy) of Longview, TX, Anna Hare (Mike) of Longview, TX, Phyllis Barnes of Coppell, TX, Andrew Barnes (Kammi) of Scurry, TX and Tracy Barnes of Scurry, TX. She is also survived by loving extended family—many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home (121 N 5th Ave, Durant, OK 74701).
