He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennie Massey and Emmett Massey; and his siblings, Maxine Neaves and Eugene Massey. He is survived by: his wife Donna Cook Massey of Durant; his sons, Dr. John Michael Massey (Dawanda) of Shawnee, Gregory Lewis Massey (Kay) of Durant, Bryan Wandel (Bridgett) of Durant and Berne Kendrick of Durant; his grandchildren, Abigail Ponsford, Boaz Massey, Charity Smith, Dara Massey, Elisabeth Agepogu, Faith Dotson, Gabriel Massey, Isaiah Massey, John Michael Massey Jr., Micah Massey, Blake Massey, Brooke Chilton, Corbin Massey, Brylan Wandel and Brinleigh Wandel; and his siblings, Odes Massey (Nancy) of Arizona and Betty Lou Massey of Durant. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
