The memory of Paul J. Payne (Durant, Oklahoma), born in Charleston, Arkansas, who passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 75, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Clay and Nellie Lucille Payne (George); and his siblings, Coleen Payne, John Payne, Richard Payne and James Payne.

He is survived by : his grandson Colton; his wife Kristy Kay Payne (Savage); his children, Sherrie Karmann of Fort Worth, Jodi Canahaute (Eddie) of Apopka, April Payne, Michelle Amlin (John) of Mead, Oklahoma, Paul Joseph Payne II of Durant and Tony Vandenburg of Calera, Oklahoma; and his brothers, Lawrence Payne of Enid and Ralph Payne of Enid. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Home (221 N 3rd Ave, Durant, OK 74701). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
