With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steve Howell of Durant, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 25, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorainne Howell (Mugler) and Paul Howell; his wife Paula Juan Howell; and his brother Bob Howell. He is survived by: his son Chris Howell (Edie) of Durant, Oklahoma; his brother Jerry Howell of Caddo, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law Suzy Howell of Caddo, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Christian Howell (Chelsea) of Durant, Collin Howell of Durant, Oklahoma and Courtlan Weaver (Calib) of Durant, Oklahoma; and his great grandchildren, Stella Howell, Emma Howell and Carson Weaver. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Home (221 N 3rd Ave, Durant, OK 74701). A graveside service was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gethsemane Cemetery.
