She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Columbus and Etola Cozetta Vails (Tignor); her grandparents, Christopher Columbus, Bertha Viola Vails (Frazier), James Henry and Esther Leona Tignor (Courtney); her husband David Moss; her sisters, Brenda Darlene Hill (Vails) and Billie Maxine Dill (Vails); her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Hill and Steve Kirven; and her nephew Stanley Trenton Dill.

She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Rene Prough; her stepdaughters, Deann Turner, Kristy Mayfield and Stacy McCall; her sister Shelia Kirven (Vails); her brother-in-law Dock Dill; her sibling's children, Steve Dill, Chris Dill, Frankie Hill, Kassidy Conway (Kirven) and Ashley Kirven-Bobier; and her pet Sadie. She is also survived by six great-nephews and five great-nieces; great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces; many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
