He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Frank Addison and Nellie Mae Emery; and his brothers, Frank and Tom. He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Brent Emery (Trudy), Bob Emery (Becky) and Julie Yowell (Pheland Lucas); his grandchildren, Travis Emery (Lauren), Clara Emery (Joe Deremer), Caylie Ballew (Evan), Jackson Emery (Sara), Jordan Yowell (Ashley) and Jorja Yowell; his stepgrandchildren, Shelby Youngblood (Zach) and Braelyn Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Beckham Emery and Jasper Ballew.
