He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Schmidt and Janette Bozman-Schmidt; and his sister Evelyn Dickendesher (Rick). He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Byron Schmidt (Sharon) and Dawn Tomlin (TJ); his grandchildren, Taylor, Tristan, Abigail Tomlin, Delaney, Landon and Blakely Schmidt; his sister Karen Heroy (Pete); his sisters-in-law, Debbie Neujahr (Stan) and Lana Russell; and his caregivers, Risa, Vika, Crystal, Arleeda, Teshae and Victoria. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
