He was predeceased by: his parents, Shui-Mu Chen and Lung-Mei Lee Chen. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Helen Chiou Chen; his son Ming Chen; his daughter-in-law Kelli Elizabeth Chen; his grandchildren, Jackson Chen and Amelia Chen; his brothers, Chin Ho Chen and Shin Yee Chen; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Chiou (Pauli), Gin Yi Chiou (Yue), Shu Fang and Shu Jong (Mike Chiang Chen). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
