She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Burns Schnitzer of Ponca City, OK; her grandmother Sarah Burns; her father Floyd Schnitzer of Ruidoso, NM; and her daughter-in-law Lisa Walker of Guthrie. She is survived by: her husband Bruce of Edmond, OK; her son Andrew of Guthrie, OK; her stepfather Calvin Wolf of Ponca City, OK; and her stepsister Brenda Smith (George) of Lampe, MO.
These included osteo-arthritis and Parkinson's Disease, which she would say with a twinkle in her eye were "gifts" from her grandmother Sarah Burns who was living in Joyce's home growing up. She would eventually become a "bionic woman" with both knees and hips being replaced and a DBS (deep brain stimulator) to minimize the symptoms of Parkinson's.
