It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Lou Smith of Edmond, Oklahoma, born in Madera, California, who passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Burns and Doris Burns; and her brother William Burns (Jack Smith, Jr.). She is survived by: her former husband Jack Smith Jr.; her daughters, Sondra Money (Jack) and Serena Wallace (Brad); and her sister Stella Collier. She is also survived by her husband of 18 years, Gaylon Rome, his two sons and one daughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests anyone wishing to honor Sandra's memory to donate in her name to Oklahoma Free to Live, a nonprofit that takes care of abandoned animals in Edmond, Oklahoma, or the Oklahoma Humane Society.
