He was predeceased by: his father Dewey "Sonny" Baker. He is survived by: his mother Connie Baker of Guthrie; his former spouse Leslie Sowder; his siblings, Jerry Baker (Jacque) of Morenci, Arizona and Jodi Baker of Stevensville, Montana; his children, Hagan Baker (Brogan) of Whitehouse, Texas and Hadley Baker of Edmond, Oklahoma; and his stepmother Betty Baker Starkey of Downey, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baker family to help Tate's daughter and grandson with college expenses.
