William Gregory Cunningham Obituary

We announce the death of William Gregory Cunningham in Edmond, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 79. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Cunningham and Ernestine Cunningham; and his brother Steven. He is survived by: his wife Lu Cunningham of Edmond, OK; his daughters, Erin Sloan (Garry Sloan) of Alexandria, VA and Megan Sanford (Michael Sanford) of Edmond, OK; his grandchildren, William Garrison Sloan, Emma Sloan and Meredith Sanford; his niece Stevie Cunningham Bailey; and his nephew Derek William Cunningham. He is also survived by cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Smith and Kernke Funeral Home (14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church (201 E 2nd St, Edmond, OK 73034). A burial will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at the Gracelawn Cemetery (1407 North Blvd, Edmond, OK 73003).
