He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jimmie Johnson and Minnie Johnson (Sullivan); his wife Margaret Johnson; his children, Rex Allen Johnson of Tulsa, Charles Battiest (Jennifer) of Edmond and Jennifer Tahbonemah (John) of Dallas, Texas; his siblings, Luther Johnson (Victoria) of Okemah, Johnny Johnson (Sherry) of Okemah, Daniel Johnson (Ann) of Glenpool, Lillie Hinkle of Okemah and Connie Lunsford (Curtis) of Okmulgee; his grandchildren, Justin Wyatt Battiest of Edmond, Madie Marie Battiest of Edmond, Isable Ann Battiest of Edmond and Abbie Catherine Battiest of Edmond; and his niece Shelecia Fixico of Broken Arrow. He was also cherished by other nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home (301 N 3rd St, Okemah, OK 74859). A wake was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Thlopthlocco United Methodist Church (377187 E. 1170 Rd. Okemah, OK 74859). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
