He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Cooksey and Violet Cooksey; his brother Wayne Cooksey; and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Cooksey. He is survived by: his sons, Kenny Cooksey (Shannon) of Edmond and Brent Cooksey (Leeanne) of El Reno, Oklahoma; and his grandsons, Ethan Cooksey and Dakota Cooksey. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (100 N Barker Ave, El Reno, OK 73036). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (400 S Barker Ave, El Reno, OK 73036). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the El Reno Cemetery (1300 E Elm St, El Reno, OK 73036).
