He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Donna Boyd; his parents, Leo Thomas and Carrie Rhea Newberry (Crume); his son Donald Mallow; his brother Kenneth Wayne Newberry; his daughters, Jean Ann Newberry and Angela Dawn Staton (Scott); his grandchildren, Cole Staton (Michaela), Kennedy Staton and Jonathon Mallow; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Mallow, Joseph Hays and Charlotte Hays. He was also cherished by his friends and relatives.
