He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon Columbus and Lucy Inze Ables (Culland); his wife Betty Lou Ables; and his brothers, Elmer Ables, Gearld Ables, Gaylon Ables and JD Ables.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Herring of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Russell Ables of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Colton Herring of Oklahoma City, Haylee Herring of Oklahoma City and Riley Ables of Elk City, Oklahoma.
