He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Everett and Bernice Smith (Garrett); his former wife Cynthia Katherine Knisley; his sons, Rick Anthony Smith, Everett "Lee" Smith Jr. and Gary James Smith; and his grandchildren, Ashley Michelle Garcia, Tommy Dell Smith and Joseph "Joe" White.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Richards; his daughter Samantha Smith of Elk City, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Starla White of Sayre, Lauren Garcia of Elk City, Edward Garcia of South Carolina and Candice Smith (Erick) of Coleman, Texas; and his siblings, Paul Smith of Alva, Oklahoma, Kathryn Ruf of Oklahoma City and Leena Beth Smith of Alva, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services (600 W Country Club Blvd, Elk City, OK 73644). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel (600 W Country Club Blvd, Elk City, OK 73644).
