He was predeceased by : his mother Dorothy Jean Bonny (Blackmore); his former life partner Janet Bonny; his father Elmo "Butch" Bonny; and his brother Jim Bonny. He is survived by : his children, Christy Browning (Tommy) of Greenville, Texas and Jackie Bonny (Vicki) of Yukon, Oklahoma; his wife Delores Finley (Beck) of Elk City, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Jimbo Finley (Amy) of Elk City and Beckie Beech (Monte) of Cordell, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Eric Browning of Fate, Lynsey Peskuski of Plano, Brittany Bonny of Plano and Brooke Bonny of Dallas, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Montana, Jax, Kane and Kingsley. He is also survived by five step grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.
In 2012 after a generous donation to Southwestern State University to help redo the then named popular Skyview room, the university changed the name to the "Bonny Family Board Room" in his honor and his families honor.
