She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Fredric Spillman, Sr. and Sophia Doris McClure Spillman; her former husband Donald; her son Gary Shanks; her stepdaughter Donna Cogdill; and her sister Judy Smith.
She is survived by: her husband First United Methodist Church; her children, Tad Shanks of Katy, Carrie Villarreal of Enid and Wayne Lewis of Tulsa; and her brother Robert Spillman, Jr. of Magnolia, Texas. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Center.
