He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Bennett and Inez Leota Bennett (Woodring); his siblings, Floyd E. Bennett, Phil Bennett, Betty Bryant and Minnie Terry; and his siblings-in-law, Simmons, Wes Sallee, Buddy Terry and Lavada Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Cunningham; his children, Mike, Terri Bennett, Cheryl, Wade Patterson, Bobby and Karen Bennett; his sisters, Marge Simmons and Iona Sallee; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Bennett. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Oakwood Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
