He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Tappan and Ethel Parrish Tappan; his wife Wanda King; his daughter Connie Denise; his grandson Chase; his sons-in-law, Nick Campbell and John Underwood; and his brothers, Phil and Walt.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Tappan, Sherry Wilson, Veda Campbell, Kelly Underwood and Curtis Tappan. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; ten great, great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
