He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman Claypole and Barbara Claypole. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Walker Claypole of Chickasha; his stepsons, Joshua, Matthew and Daniel; his brother Joe Claypole (Connie) of Enid; and his nephews, Clint and Travis Claypole.
